Today, Blake and I got a lot accomplished with Africa preparations! This afternoon, we got a few of the necessary shots needed for traveling to Africa (hence today’s title). I had to get 3 shots: Tetanus, Measles, and Hepatitis A. My right arm, left arm, and right hip are all sore! But hey, it’s ok to be sore for Jesus, haha. I was very disappointed that they only had plain tan band-aids and not anything cool like these.
Blake only had to get Tetanus (that punk) because he had so many inoculations when he went to boot camp. I still need to get Yellow Fever and Typhoid shots, and Blake just needs the Typhoid. They were out of these shots when we went today. Hopefully my poor lil arms will be healed by the time we go back for more shots!
This evening, we worked on getting the fundraising letters ready. We printed, signed, folded, stuffed, addressed, and stamped for hours. Here’s the stack about to go in the mail:
We’ve been busy! We’ve prayed over these letters and can’t wait to see how God works through them! We are still continually praying for God to provide for us financially to be able to afford this trip. As you can see, on the right side of the page I added a fundraising thermometer to show how much we’ve raised and how much we have left to go!
And by the way, we leave for Africa exactly 3 months from today! WOO!
